The online portion of our classes cover required course material for CPR/AED & First Aid based on the most current standards. Because all students do not have the same certification needs, you will not necessarily need to access the same study material. The PDF's and quizzes are study tools. They will help you to prepare for the final exam, which will be given in class. If you fail or do poorly on a quiz you will need to re-take the quiz until you receive a passing score. You can take them as many times as you like. You must attain a passing score to print temporary completion certificates.
All quiz completion certificates are due at the start of class. Students who fail to complete assignments will not be issued certification cards. There are no refunds for promotional or discount classes and you CANNOT apply your payment to another promotional or discount class.
If you would like to reschedule after enrolling in a promotional or discount class, you will have to take another class at the regular price. Your payment will be applied accordingly, and the remaining balance due upon completion of the course.
Because the actual on site class time is very short in comparison to traditional classes, it is important that you are on time. It is HIGHLY advisable that you have clear directions prior to class. A map is provided at the bottom of this page. If you are late to class, it is very likely that you will need to reschedule. If a link or any of the program is not working for you, I need you to let me know right away. We need to know immediately if you can not access any part of the program content. If for any reason you arrive to class having not completed the online course work, you will be not be issued a completion certificate. CPR and/or First Aid certificates are issued only after "all" assignments are done, including online assignments.
Lastly, the intent of this program is to provide a solid education with regards to basic life support and first aid, allowing you to do some of the learning from your home or other location. We also want to make your actual "in class" time a little shorter. The biggest challenge for people with the accelerated class, continues to be completing the assignments prior to class. It is very easy to put the study off until the last minute. Please be sure to give yourself plenty of time so that you can receive your certification at the end of class. The amount of time necessary for study will depend on your experience and familiarity with the program content. All comments and suggestions are welcome. We trust that you will enjoy your experience with us.
Sincerely,
Michael A. Morales - EMT-Paramedic/Program Director
