Part of security guard training will require exams, depending on the extent of training needed. Some exams are simple, such as taking a property rights question and answer. Other exams will be harder and training will be harder. Armed guard training requires hours of basic security guard, fire arm and on the job training before a guard can officially start their first day of work then they are required to take a refresher course once a year. With that being said, the opportunities for an armed guards are endless. Typical pay can and will vary from state to state and from job to job.
Prison guards are going to make more money than a bank security guard because they require more training and a background in criminal justice.
