Chiropractors can usually be found in clinics, schools, hospitals or on their own, privately administering treatment. The majority of Chiropractors are self employed. Chiropractors are paid different amounts depending on where they are located and the setting. The U.S Government Bureau of Labor Statistics are responsible for calculating a chiropractors’ wages and this is done from a variety of sources. The hourly median of Chiropractors earn on average approximately $32.66 per hour. Those in the lowest 10 % usually earn about $16.37 per hour and those in the upper 10% usually earn $70.00 or more per hour.

The annual median of Chiropractors is approximately $68.000. However, those in the lowest 10% usually generate $34,000 and those in the upper 10% make more that $145,000 yearly. These are based on Chiropractors that work a total of forty hours per week. The top five states that pay Chiropractors the most are Nevada, Alabama, Maryland, Wisconsin and Washington. Becoming a chiropractor can be very expensive and time consuming while in college, but the amount of money that can be earned once completed will all be worth it.
