This is a 16 hour course that covers the ECC recommendations for cardiac emergencies, based on the 2005 updated standards. This course covers bradycardia, tachycardia and pulseless arrest algorithms. Some stroke awareness will be covered. Written and practical exams will be preformed by students. Certification is valid for 2 years.

This class meets Basic Life Support (BLS) requirements for medical professionals, including RN's, paramedics, EMT's, CNA's, lifeguards etc.
NOTE: 6 hours is the scheduled time for training. Class time may be shorter.

Child Care Provider Overview
There is an additional $5.00 per card service fee for child care providers receiving state required EMSA endorsement stickers. Remember, although First Aid certification is valid for three years the State of California requires daycare providers recertify CPR & First Aid every TWO years. Vital Ethics offers CPR certification that is valid for two years.
