Ready For The CNA Exam?

Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant takes hard work and dedication, but is worth it once you have complete the course and are certified. The role of a CNA can be diverse. From helping patients achieve basic tasks to assisting staff with daily duties; as a CNA you will be considered a vital part of the heath care system and the caring of many patients in a variety of settings. The last step in the process is the state examination. The state exam, as with most state exams, is challenging and often a source of anxiety for many a CNA candidates. However, if you have studied and are prepared you are most likely to come out on top.

CNA Practice Exams

Students who want to be well prepared generally take practice test and exams. If you are a note taker or have used flash cards and other learning methods, you most certainly will want to employ the study tools you have created in preparation for the test.

There are many CNA practice exams available in books stores and online. The more familiar you are with the testing format, the more confidence you will have when you get to the exam site. Practice exams are patterned after the actual test and have very similar questions. Students who do well on the practice exam will generally do well on the actual state examination.

In addition to the written exam, there is also a practical exam to test basic application of skills learning in the certified nursing assistant course. The practical examination makes many students nervous because skills are evaluated by clinical proctors, to ensure that students perform all the correct steps in a given skill. To be prepared for the practical examination, practice with you classmates, family and friends. Repetition is the mother of skill. The more you repeat something the better you will get at it. In preparation for a state exam, you want to know your skills like the back of you hand.

Regarding successful completion of the state nursing exam, disciplining yourself to study and prepare is the real challenge. If you can discipline yourself for success, a passing score and state certification is inevitable.
