    The thing to do, so that you are protected by the law is that you are trying to act in the best professional manner that is followed by someone who has little training. This doesn’t mean trying something you saw on television or things of that nature. Don’t try being a hero, just do what you can and then, people can’t sue you for doing this.

    This law does differ from state to state though. Therefore, if you do find that you are being sued then you should talk with legal counsel as to if you are protected by this law in regards to what you did when you performed first aid on a person.

    So, when it comes to the question as to if you can be sued when you do this or not, then the answer depends. It depends on all the above information. If you find that you have fulfilled these, then you should not worry as you acted in the best way possible until help could get there. So, first aid: Can I be sued? In most cases: NO.
