TIP

You can accomplish a very effective workout session using very little equipment. You can even circuit train using only your own body weight. If you were to perform a traditional workout consisting of cardio and weight training at home, you would most likely need several large, expensive machines.

If you wanted to do cardio regardless of the weather and outside conditions, you would need a treadmill at the very least, and probably an elliptical runner or stair machine. To effectively weight train, you would need a bar with weight plates and several sizes of dumbbells, plus a convertible weight bench. This equipment is not only very expensive, but takes up quite a lot of room.
