When an EMT or Paramedic arrives with the patient at the hospital, they will see that they are safely taken into the hospital for immediate care. The EMT or Paramedic who transferred and cared for the patient then speaks with the attending Physician on duty and ER staff. At this time they report the issues concerning the patient and what has already been accomplished. After dropping the patient off, the Paramedic or EMT must document the trip and replenish the supplies that they used on that particular patient. It is also their responsibility to clean up and sanitize the transportation vehicle for the next patient.
