Paramedic ACLS Megacode

This is a training video for how to run a megacode station for a state EMT-Paramedic test. I live in Utah, so make necessary adjustments for your state or school, etc. This is for training only. Any constructive-criticism type comments are appreciated to make this better for others. We have some old Lifepack 10′s in our school, so I have to use the paddles for shocking. Thanks for looking.

One must have a good education, including a high school diploma to start their career as a paramedic. After receiving a high school diploma it is a good idea to go to a community college for EMT training. A person is required to pass a certification given by the state that they live in order to become qualified. These licenses and certifications generally are renewed every two years. Many EMT’s and Paramedics return to school to even further their education and become Registered Nurses, Physicians Assistants, or even Emergency Service Directors. This is a great career choice that opens up a whole new world for future advancements. Salary can be nice for an EMT or Paramedic who is starting out or it can seem like a really bad joke. It all depends on where you are employed.

This guy does a really great job at running this code. What really is disturbing is that young professionals are often afraid of running a code both in training and in reality. The reason is because they are afraid of failing. Failing is a part of the learning process. The more you press forward to acquire skill the more you are going to make mistakes. There is no way to get around it. Failing comes with the territory of learning and it should be recognized as such. Anyone can run a code like this and better. It all depends on your attitude and persistence.
